#LocalCrime: Want to reduce the amount of crime in your neighborhood. Grab coffee with your neighborhood cops!
West St. Paul Police Department and Saint Paul Police Departments have started doing #CoffeeWithCops events.
They host coffee dates with the people in their community.
What's great about these events, it supports the local small business owner and it gives the community the chance to meet their officers and ask their questions about what's going on in their neighborhood. An informed neighborhood is a safe one!
If your community isn't doing something like this, consider creating an event socially. Contact your local PD and get them on board!
*As a reminder (as discussed at one of these events) you can now text 911 in case of an emergency where you can't speak on the phone. This has just been implemented in the last couple of months and officers have been excited about the success of the launch.
